Registrations are now closed and, due to COVID Safe Event venue number restrictions, we are at capacity.

Due to COVID venue capacity restrictions, the available number of registrations for 2021 is limited. To allow for equity for both mine workers and suppliers/service providers, there are two registration types (both with limited numbers). These are:

Mine Worker/Government
This category is for those who are direct mine workers or in Government working with mine workers. Due to COVID capacity restrictions, numbers are very limited and, once all these registrations are booked, there will be no further releases.

This category is NOT for suppliers or service providers - should a supplier/service provider register under this category, their registration WILL be moved to the Supplier/Service Provider category (should tickets be available. If tickets are not available, the registration will be cancelled and a full refund provided).

Supplier/Service Provider
This category applies to those who wish to attend and are suppliers or service providers to the mine electrical safety sector. Due to COVID capacity restrictions, numbers are very limited and, once all these registrations are booked, there will be no further releases.

Sponsor / Exhibitor Staff Registration

Due to COVID Safe Event requirements and maximum venue capacity restrictions, Sponsor staff registrations are limited to the number of included registrations outlined in the prospectus.

Exhibition booths are limited to 2 staff

Information regarding Function tickets

Due to COVID venue capacity restrictions

  • Dinner tickets are only available with a full conference registration
  • Welcome Reception tickets are only available with a full conference or conference only registration
  • Tickets to the Welcome Reception and Dinner are not available for purchase

Registration Terms and Conditions

Payment Policy

It is a condition of registration that full payment is received within invoice terms and fully paid prior to the commencement of the event. Non payment of a registration does not constitute a cancellation.

Early Registrations: Payment is required to be made within invoice terms (7 days) from the early registration deadline of Friday 30 April. Any early registrations not paid by Friday 7 May will be automatically updated to a standard registration and an updated invoice will be provided to the attendee for payment.

Accepted payment methods: EFT, American Express, MasterCard and Visa. Please note a credit card surcharge is applicable to online credit card payments of 2.3% for MasterCard and Visa and 2.0% for American Express.


Cancellation Policy - General

Cancellations must be advised to the MESC office in writing. Charges will apply for cancellations:

  • Cancellations advised in writing by Friday 30 April 2021 will receive a refund of the registration fee, less an administrative charge of $150
  • Cancellations advised in writing from Saturday 1 May 2021 will not receive a refund. The registration can be transferred to a colleague
Registrations are transferable to a colleague at any time prior to the event provided the Conference Organisers are advised in writing.

Hotel Booking Terms and Conditions

  • Full prepayment and a valid credit card guarantee are required to confirm your accommodation booking
  • Provided credit card details will be passed onto the hotel
  • Cancellations or amendments made from Saturday 22 May will incur a 100% cancellation fee
  • No shows will be charged a 100% cancellation fee

Cancellation Policy - COVID
  • Conference Postponement: In the event of a postponement all registrations will automatically be transferred to the new conference dates. All components of your registration including social function tickets and accommodation bookings will also be transferred. If you are unable to attend on the new dates, you may contact the Conference Organisers to obtain the relevant cancellation policy
  • Conference Cancellation: In the event of the cancellation of the conference, all registrations and associated components of attendance will be cancelled and amounts refunded in full
  • State Borders Closed: In the event that the state borders (from your departing city to Queensland) are closed between Sunday 6 June to Wednesday 9 June 2021, a full refund will be offered. For any accommodation bookings booked through the Conference Organisers, they will contact the hotel and put in a request for cancellation, however, the cancellation fee will be at the discretion of the hotel

Privacy Policy

Mine Electrical Safety Conference will collect and store information you provide in the Registration Form for the purposes of enabling us to: register your attendance at the event; assist with administrative and planning purposes; plan and develop conferences and other events in the future; facilitate your requirements in relation to the event; and allow the compilation and analysis of statistics relevant to the event. The information that you provide in the Registration Form and information provided at any other time during the event, including without limitation any feedback obtained during the event, will be used by the organisation to offer, provide and continue to improve its events and other services.

Disclosure of Personal Information to Third Parties

Mine Electrical Safety Conference may disclose some of the information that is collected in the Registration Form such as your position, organisation and its location and your email address to event sponsors, exhibitors and attendees. Mine Electrical Safety Conference will not otherwise, without your consent, use or disclose your personal information for any purpose unless it would reasonably be expected that such purpose is related to the offer, provision and improvement of the event or where such purpose is permitted or required by law. Registrants may withhold consent for disclosure of their contact details by advising their selection in the online registration form or by emailing mesconference@absoluteevents.com.au before Friday 21 May 2021.
