Registration Terms and Conditions

Payment Policy

It is a condition of registration that full payment is received within invoice terms and fully paid prior to the commencement of the event. Non payment of a registration does not constitute a cancellation.

Early Registrations: Payment is required to be made within invoice terms (7 days) from the early registration deadline of Friday 7 October 2022. Any early registrations not paid by 14 October 2022 will be automatically updated to a standard registration and an updated invoice will be provided to the attendee for payment.


Cancellation Policy - General

Cancellations must be advised to the Symposium office in writing. Charges will apply for cancellations:

  • Cancellations advised in writing by Friday 14 October 2022 will receive a refund of the registration fee, less an administrative charge of $150
  • Cancellations advised in writing from Saturday 15 October 2022 will not receive a refund. The registration can be transferred to a colleague

Registrations are transferable to a colleague at any time prior to the event provided the Event Organisers are advised in writing.


Cancellation Policy - COVID
  • Conference Postponement: In the event of a postponement all registrations will automatically be transferred to the new event dates. All components of your registration including social function tickets and accommodation bookings will also be transferred. If you are unable to attend on the new dates, you may contact the Event Organisers to obtain the relevant cancellation policy
  • Conference Cancellation: In the event of the cancellation of the event, all registrations and associated components of attendance will be cancelled and amounts refunded in full
  • State Borders Closed: In the event that the state borders (from your departing city to Queensland) are closed between Monday 7 November 2022 to Wednesday 9 November 2022, a full refund will be offered. For any accommodation bookings booked through the Event Organisers, they will contact the hotel and put in a request for cancellation, however, the cancellation fee will be at the discretion of the hotel
  • Other COVID Related: In the event of other impacts due to the COVID pandemic, QCOSS and the Organisers will, on a case-by-case basis, be as fair and reasonable as possible based on the circumstances involved. Requests should be emailed to the conference email address.

Privacy Policy

Dorothy Hill Women in Earth and Environmental Sciences Symposium will collect and store information you provide in the Registration Form for the purposes of enabling us to: register your attendance at the event; assist with administrative and planning purposes; plan and develop conferences and other events in the future; facilitate your requirements in relation to the event; and allow the compilation and analysis of statistics relevant to the event. The information that you provide in the Registration Form and information provided at any other time during the event, including without limitation any feedback obtained during the event, will be used by the organisation to offer, provide and continue to improve its events and other services.

Disclosure of Personal Information to Third Parties

Dorothy Hill Women in Earth and Environmental Sciences Symposium may disclose some of the information that is collected in the Registration Form such as your position, organisation and its location and your email address to event sponsors, exhibitors and attendees. Dorothy Hill Women in Earth and Environmental Sciences Symposium will not otherwise, without your consent, use or disclose your personal information for any purpose unless it would reasonably be expected that such purpose is related to the offer, provision and improvement of the event or where such purpose is permitted or required by law. Registrants may withhold consent for disclosure of their contact details by advising their selection in the online registration form or by emailing dhsymposium@absoluteevents.com.au before Friday 28 October 2022.
