The ATRF 2022 was held at Flinders University Tonsley Campus
Flinders’ Tonsley campus is a $120 million hub of innovation which centrally locates the University’s teaching and research in computer science, artificial intelligence, defence and national securities, autonomous vehicles, information technology, engineering and mathematics.
Along with some of Adelaide’s biggest businesses and globally-recognised organisations such as SAGE, Siemens, ZEISS, SIMEC ZEN Energy, Tesla, Micro-X, Rockwell Automation, as well as TAFE SA and Autism SA, Tonsley is also home to the Flinders Medical Device Research Institute (MDRI) and The Institute for Nanoscale Science & Technology. Flinders’ Tonsley campus is also an incubator for entrepreneurs and future employers who are creating next generation start-ups through the Flinders New Venture Institute.
From early 2021, a $141 million extension of the Tonsley rail line will link Flinders’ Bedford Park and Tonsley campuses by rail, and allow Flinders’ students to access the CBD by train in less than 20 minutes.
You could travel to and from Tonsley Campus by train or bus. For full information please visit Adelaide Metro.
A train departs from Adelaide Railway Station every 20 to 30 minutes. The FLNDRS train from Adelaide Railway Station to Tonsley departed every 30 minutes and is a 20 minute trip.
The main coach terminal in Adelaide is the Adelaide Central Bus Station. All coaches departed from and arrived at this terminal. Look at Greyhound Australia, LinkSA or Premier Stateliner.
Public Transport Apps
There were apps available to help attendees use Adelaide Metro buses, trains and trams.
Parking at Tonsley was free of charge. The car park has 380 spaces, including several disability bays, located close to the Flinders at Tonsley building. Access to the car park is via the South Road entry to the Tonsley precinct. Other parking facilities are also located throughout the Tonsley precinct.
Because parking was limited, we encourage attendees to consider alternative transport options like public transport, cycling or carpooling.
Full information regarding parking can be found on the Flinders University Parking and transport page.
