ATRF has become a premier Transport Research forum in Australasia that seeks to maintain open dialogue among transport researchers, policymakers, advisors and practitioners, stimulating debate and forward-looking considerations of transport research across a wide range of subject areas. The conference is held in a different location each year.
The 43rd Australasian Transport Research Forum (ATRF) was held in Adelaide, South Australia from Wednesday 28 September to Friday 30 September 2022. The venue was Flinders University.
The Forum was structured and covered a broad range of topics:

Doina Olaru & Brett Smith
Co-Chairs ATRF Scientific Committee
Established in 1975, ATRF brings together Governments, Universities, research organisations and industry to increase the benefits to Australasian society from safe, efficient and effective transport in all its forms, by promoting innovation through applied research and the exchange of knowledge relating to all aspects of transport and its relationship with social, economic, environmental and land use/urban development issues. Papers are published on the ATRF website and many papers are also published in leading international academic journals. ATRF does not undertake the role of public advocate, lobbyist or activist.
Since 2016, ATRF has been incorporated under the ACT Incorporations Act 1991 as a “not for profit organisation” with steered by an Executive Committee voted by members. Membership of ATRF is free and is open to anyone who supports the objectives of ATRF Inc and who has an interest in transport.
