Julie Zappa

Julie Zappa is General Manager Training Services, North Metropolitan TAFE in Western Australia, the largest TAFE College in WA. Julie commenced her career in the TAFE sector as a Computing lecturer in 1989 at North Metropolitan TAFE (formerly Central Institute of Technology). In her 30 years working in the sector she has gained a wealth of experience including academic and corporate leadership at executive level, and in roles responsible for commercial and business development, online learning, quality assurance, staff professional development, learning resource and curriculum development, VET academic delivery, research and policy development.

In her leadership role as Chair Academic Board at North Metropolitan TAFE, Julie champions quality in teaching and learning including the development of contemporary learning models characterised by student success, exceptional student experiences and industry recognition and support.
