Please note: Registration to the pre-symposium workshop is available only as an addition to a Symposium registrationWrite your best: Workshop your writing and write with us
Would you like to increase your writing quality and productivity, and meet a ‘writing buddy’?
Join us for this writing workshop and connect with Earth and Environmental peers across academia, industry and government!
Whether your work is academic or industry-related, you often need to produce papers, grant proposals, industry reports, and/or science communication pieces on a regular basis. This workshop will aim to motivate your writing and create long-lasting peer-mentorship relationships, regardless of the field of study or location of attendees.
We will have an open discussion on writing techniques and tips between attendees and invited panellists. We will network over afternoon tea to find a ‘writing buddy’ - a ‘critical friend’ to plan on writing goals for the year ahead, schedule monthly meetings to catch up, and write together (in person or remotely!). Then we will ‘Shut up and write’ to practice the famous 'pomodoro' writing technique as a group!
