Student Travel Awards will cover the cost of registration fees for the conference ($375 for students) and will provide up to $600 towards the cost of airfares to attend the ACNS Conference in Auckland, New Zealand.

ELIGIBILITY
The ACNS Student Travel Awards are open to any full-time students who are paid members of the ACNS Society and currently enrolled in undergraduate or higher-degree (Masters, PhD) research degrees. This does not include Post-Doc or part-time students.  It is targeted for full-time students only. You must submit an abstract to present your research at the ACNS Conference to be eligible for a Travel Award.

CRITERIA
The aim of the Student Travel Awards is to provide support for outstanding full-time students to present their research at the ACNS Conference. Applications will be judged according to the student’s research as outlined in the Conference abstract submission, and based on research achievements relative to opportunity as outlined in a brief CV summary.

HOW TO APPLY
Applications for the Student Travel Award are completed online together with abstract submission through the ACNS Conference website (www.acnsconference.org). You will be asked to provide the following details:

1. A list of your current and previous positions and academic qualifications.
2. 150-200 word summary of your current research and interests, particularly highlighting research achievements and significant outcomes.
3. A list of your most significant publications, awards, and presentations.
4. A scanned copy of your current student ID (uploaded as a jpeg image file)


Note: When you begin your application and abstract submission on the ACNS Conference website, you will be able to save as a draft and return to edit it anytime, until you finally click the “Submit” button.
To be eligible, please ensure that you select the box ‘Yes, I wish to apply for a Student Travel Award’ at the bottom of the contact information page. This is also where you will upload the jpeg of your student ID.

NOTIFICATION
Notification of Student Travel Awards will be emailed to applicants by 24 September 2015.
