Held on Tuesday the 30th June to Friday the 3rd July at the University of Queensland, this important event was the premier international gathering of population geographers, attracting leading scholars in the field, along with policy makers interested in the spatial dimensions of population. Over two hundred delegates from 36 countries attended.

The program provided an opportunity to consider, inform and debate population issues of national and international significance including immigration, population health, and migration and the environment. The program included leading national and international scholars in the field of population geography who informed and challenged delegates working in research and policy settings.
