The Power of TAFE
The TDA Convention 2019 highlights the power of Australian TAFEs.
The future of tertiary education in Australia will continue to be debated this year and TAFEs play a vital part.
TAFEs will work with the Morrison Government on the response to Strengthening Skills, the expert review of Australia’s Vocational Education and Training System.
The Power of TAFE will be a celebration of the distinct role TAFEs play in vocational education, across schooling and in higher education, for the benefit of citizens and supporting economic well-being and building communities.
A new approach in 2019
The convention is designed for sharing of stories of success, discussing issues and challenges and taking away new strategies. Sharing better-practice helps every TAFE advance. We plan for every attendee to come away inspired to succeed.
We want to share stories
We want Australian TAFEs to share better practice and innovation in teaching and learning, curriculum design, student support, industry outreach, international, innovation and new technologies.
We plan to build the picture of the full range of outcomes from TAFE that’s otherwise overlooked in the data.
We want to inform
TAFEs also operate in response to the demand for skills, including, but not limited to, the impact of technology. These priority issues will also be shared at the convention.
Convention Takeaways
The Power of TAFE is multiplied when best practice is shared. Build new contacts and refresh your networks. Be inspired to succeed. Build The Power of TAFE.
