Welcome to the Mine Electrical Safety Conference WA (MESC WA) 2019.

Based on the needs of the Western Australia mine electrical safety community, the well-connected local organising committee (with the support of MESA Inc and the Queensland Committee) is hosting the inaugural Mine Electrical Safety Conference Western Australia (MESC WA).

Just like the Queensland Mine Electrical Safety Conference, MESC WA Conference will bring together government departments, consultants, suppliers and key industry decision makers within the electrical field to hear technical presentations on all matters relating to electrical safety within the mining industry with specific focus on the Western Australia industry.

Supported by the Mine Electrical Safety Association 

The formation of the Mine Electrical Safety Association (MESA) was the first of its kind in Queensland, being established well before the industry focus on safety. For close to 30 years, MESA has been an integral conduit between the working face of the industry and suppliers and government departments in identifying electrical safety problems and by consultation, provide information with a view to improving safety and productivity.

The showcase achievement of the association is the continued development of the annual conference and trade exhibition, which brings together government departments, consultants, suppliers and key industry decision makers within the electrical field to hear technical presentations on all matters relating to electrical safety within the mining industry.

MESA values safety greatly and is continuously looking to improve workplaces for those involved in the mining industry. We aim to identify electrical safety problems within the industry, and by consultation provide information with a view to improving safety and productivity.
