Thank you for your interest in attending the Mine Electrical Safety Conference.  Online registration is now closed please see the team at the registration desk onsite.

To allow for equity for both mine workers and suppliers/service providers, there are two registration types. These are:

Mine Worker/Government
This category is for those who are direct mine workers or in Government working with mine workers.

This category is NOT for suppliers or service providers - should a supplier/service provider register under this category, their registration will be moved to the Industry Supplier category.

Industry Supplier
This category is for those who are suppliers or service providers to the mine electrical safety sector.

Included Sponsor/Exhibitor
This category is for confirmed sponsor/exhibitor bookings that have registrations included in their package. A separate link is provided to the booking coordinator. Attendees utilising the included sponsor/exhibitor registrations should NOT register using as a Mine Worker/Government or Industry Supplier. Refunds will not be provided to those included sponsor/exhibitor attendees who register and pay for Full Conference Registration Package, Full Conference Registration or Conference Only Registrations.

Full Conference Package registration includes:

• Two nights accommodation (Monday 5 and Tuesday 6 June) with breakfast at conference venue
• Access to conference sessions and trade exhibition
• Day catering (morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea)
• One Welcome Reception ticket
• One Conference Networking Dinner ticket
• Conference satchel
• MESC branded item

Full Conference registration includes: 

• Access to conference sessions and trade exhibition
• Day catering (morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea)

Conference Only registration includes: 

• Access to conference sessions and trade exhibition

Day registration includes: 

• Access to conference sessions, trade exhibition and day catering on registered day
• Conference satchel
• MESC branded item

Information regarding function tickets

• Dinner tickets are only available with a full conference registration
  
• Welcome Reception tickets are only available with a full conference or conference only registration
• Separate tickets to the Welcome Reception and Dinner are not available for purchase

Registration Terms and Conditions

Payment Policy

It is a condition of registration that full payment is received within invoice terms and fully paid prior to the commencement of the event. Non payment of a registration does not constitute a cancellation.

Early Registrations:  Payment is required to be made within invoice terms (7 days) from the early registration deadline of Friday 5 May 2023. Any early registrations not paid by Friday 12 May 2023 will be automatically updated to a standard registration and an updated invoice will be provided to the attendee for payment.

Included Sponsor & Exhibitor Registrations: Confirmed sponsors and exhibitors will be provided a link to the Included Sponsor & Exhibition registration site. Refunds will not be provided to those included sponsor and exhibitor attendees who register and pay for Full Conference Registration Package, Full Conference Registration or Conference Only Registrations.

Venue Entry Conditions / Event Vaccination Policy

By registering for this event, your confirm you will  comply with any State Government mandate and the venue entry policy as it applies at the time of the event.  We respect any individual’s health choice but we are required to comply with the Government and venue requirements. Please be aware that, should you register and then not meet the Government mandate or venue entry policy (as it applies a the time of the event) you will be unable to be admitted to the events - no refunds will issued. Each attendee has a personal responsibility to understand the compliance needs prior to registering.

Cancellation Policy - General

Cancellations must be advised to the conference office in writing. Charges will apply for cancellations:

• Cancellations advised in writing by Friday 5 May 2023 will receive a refund of the registration fee, less an administrative charge of $150
• Cancellations advised in writing from Saturday 6 May 2023 will not receive a refund. The registration can be transferred to a colleague

Registrations are transferable to a colleague at any time prior to the event provided the Conference Organisers are advised in writing.

Hotel Booking Terms and Conditions

• Full prepayment and a valid credit card guarantee are required to confirm your accommodation booking
• Provided credit card details will be passed onto the hotel
• Cancellations or amendments made after Friday 5 May 2022 will incur a 100% cancellation fee
• No shows will be charged a 100% cancellation fee

Cancellation Policy - COVID

• Conference Postponement: In the event of a postponement all registrations will automatically be transferred to the new conference dates. All components of your registration including social function tickets and accommodation bookings will also be transferred. If you are unable to attend on the new dates, you may contact the Conference Organisers to obtain the relevant cancellation policy
• Conference Cancellation: In the event of the cancellation of the conference, all registrations and associated components of attendance will be cancelled and amounts refunded in full
• Other COVID Related: In the event of other impacts due to the COVID pandemic, MESC and the Organisers will, on a case-by-case basis, be as fair and reasonable as possible based on the circumstances involved. Requests should be emailed to the conference email address.
  

Privacy Policy

Mine Electrical Safety Conference will collect and store information you provide in the Registration Form for the purposes of enabling us to: register your attendance at the event; assist with administrative and planning purposes; plan and develop conferences and other events in the future; facilitate your requirements in relation to the event; and allow the compilation and analysis of statistics relevant to the event. The information that you provide in the Registration Form and information provided at any other time during the event, including without limitation any feedback obtained during the event, will be used by the organisation to offer, provide and continue to improve its events and other services.

Disclosure of Personal Information to Third Parties

Mine Electrical Safety Conference may disclose some of the information that is collected in the Registration Form such as your position, organisation and its location and your email address to event sponsors, exhibitors and attendees. Mine Electrical Safety Conference will not otherwise, without your consent, use or disclose your personal information for any purpose unless it would reasonably be expected that such purpose is related to the offer, provision and improvement of the event or where such purpose is permitted or required by law. Registrants may withhold consent for disclosure of their contact details by advising their selection in the online registration form or by emailing mesconference@absoluteevents.com.au before Friday 12 May 2023.
