Based on the needs of the Western Australia mine electrical safety community, the well-connected local organising committee (with the support of MESA Inc and the Queensland Committee) hosted the second Mine Electrical Safety Conference Western Australia (MESC WA).

Just like the 2019 Western Australia Mine Electrical Safety Conference and the Queensland Mine Electrical Safety Conference, the 2022 MESC WA Conference brought together government departments, consultants, suppliers and key industry decision makers within the electrical field to hear technical presentations on all matters relating to electrical safety within the mining industry with specific focus on the Western Australia industry.

The Mine Electrical Safety Association (MESA) Inc was formed more than 30 years ago with the goal of promoting electrical safety in the mining industry.

MESA continues to lead the way in the industry with the focus on safety.  Since its inception, MESA has been an important leader in bringing together the working face of the industry, suppliers and consultants with government departments and key industry decision makers.  This collaboration has the goal of identifying electrical safety problems and, by consultation, provide information with a view to improving safety and productivity.

MESA values safety greatly and is continuously looking to improve workplaces for those involved in the mining industry.

MESA is proud to lead the way in industry education focussing on mine electrical safety and strongly believes in the benefits of meeting face-to-face to learn, network and share knowledge on how the industry is performing along with ways to improve workplace safety and reduce harm.
