Senior executives of two leading business service providers, Ipsos and CoreLogic, will be presenting an inside view of their latest work in market and property research. Those interested in Big Data, qualitative and quantitative research techniques, online and mobile applications, data mining, and geocomputing are warmly invited to participate. Ipsos is an independent market research company controlled and managed by research professionals. Founded in France in 1975, it ranks third in the global research industry and has offices in 86 countries. Ipsos has been established in Australia since 1999. Its local specialisms cover Advertising, Loyalty, Marketing, MediaCT, Public Affairs and Social Research, Qualitative Research, Operations (survey management and data collection) and The Ipsos Mind and Mood Report (social trends). Its workshop contribution will place some focus on tracking and mobile applications. With overseas offices in New Zealand, the United States and United Kingdom, CoreLogic is Australia’s premier property data application. It serves buyers, sellers, investors, facility managers and valuers in residential and commercial property. Its B2B clientele includes bankers, mortgage brokers and aggregators, accountants, lawyers, wealth and financial managers, construction companies and developers spread across the private sector, government, telcos and insurance fields. The firm is noted for its data holdings and analytics, geospatial applications, the Cordell intelligence series, and mobile and digital involvement. The session format is that the companies will be discussing their: (a) Objectives, type of regular work, national sentiment, the real estate market etc. as per their specialisms, (b) Challenges and difficult cases encountered/in progress, (c) Forward directions in data management and application, industry and technological trends, barriers etc.
